Passover was and still IS the most important part in
Jewish culture.
In Jewish culture on the first nightfall on the first night of Passover, they eat a meal called
'Seder Meal'
When the meal is prepared, the first born son asks the father, " Father, WHY are we celebrating
this meal tonight?". Then the father would explain the Passover Tradition by telling the history of
how God helped their ancestors exited the Egypt and the slavery. (Exodus 12)
Paschal Mystery - Passover (Mystery of the Lamb)
Old Passover had Old Covenant ( agreement, contract)
New Passover has New Covenant,
Jesus is the ETERNAL Covenant!
3 Paschal Mysteries of Jesus Christ - 1) Suffering (in Latin means Passio, in english Passion)
2) Death and Burial
3) Resurrection
God stopped Abraham from sacrificing Issac BUT, God sacrificed His Son, Jesus for US. For YOU!
All because God loves YOU so much!
"For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son and whoever believes in Him should not
perish but have everlasting life" - John 3: 16

REFLECTION - LISTENING, DISCERNING, LIVING OUR VOCATION
- from Pope Francis' message on December 2017
1. LISTEN ......what are some ways we can listen to His voice?
2. DISCERN (figuring out) .....what is He asking us to do...repent? change?
3. LIVE ......what are some ways to live your life ...follow Jesus?....Imitate Christ?
QUESTIONS
How can I in my everyday life listen better?
How can I figure out and change my life according to what He is telling me?
How can I live for Him?
(We will discuss further next month in preparation for World Day of Prayer for Vocation, April 22, 2018.)
